Very little in life equals the joy of sipping from a gnarly “Sampson Cup” by the eccentric potter Murakoshi Takuma. Floral motifs decorate the pale glazed panels on this Oblong bottle by LNT Hamada Shoji covered otherwise in Kaki-yu brick colored glaze and enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Kaki-yu Tetsu-e Henko. Inclusions burst and bubble out from the thick coating of ash which clings to the terracotta surface of this elongated form by Murakoshi Takuma from last years firing enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Shigaraki Chuki (Seving Vessel).
