A Shigaraki Uzukumaru Vase by Takahashi Rakusai V enclosed in the original wooden box signed Kozo (his given name before taking over the title Rakusai). Fabulous firing effects and from this important artistic lineage in Shigaraki. It is 19 cm diameter and in excellent condition. Takahashi Kozo was born in Shigaraki in 1954, and studied with Arakawa Toyozo after completing courses at the Shigaraki Industrial Ceramics Research Facility. He has had a great many private exhibitions at important galleries throughout Japan including Mitsukoshi and Takashimaya.
