A beautiful Nezumi Shino work by Kato Kenji enclosed in the original signed wooden box. It is just over 5 inches (13 cm) diameter, 3-1/2 inches (9 cm) tall and is in excellent condition.
Kato Kenji was born in Mino, the heart of ceramic country, in 1924. Following the horrors of the second world war, he studied Under Nakabayashi Kozuru and Kato Tokuro, as well as being quite involved in calligraphy circles. .
