A magnificent and boldly potted Mashiko dish in the shape of a suribachi (grinding bowl) by Kawajiri Hiroshi enclosed in the original signed wooden box. It is covered in rivulets of green glaze adding an extra dimension of texture to the vertical engravings. The piece is 15-1/2 inches (39.5 cm) diameter, 7 inches (17.5 cm) tall and in excellent condition.
